“Basic Requests” is an adapted book using LAMP Words for Life® pathways created by the Cheapie Speechie.
The visual provision of these pathways encourages learning and independence in our clients who rely on AAC to communicate.
This book contains 5 pages of material.
This book can be used as a script during everyday activities (e.g., play time, mealtimes) as it targets basic requests.
The pages of this book were designed to grow alongside your client’s language skills. It is recommended to fold the pages into thirds, so that you initially present your client with the first line & only the first line until they master that pathway (e.g., “turn”). Once they master the initial pathway, then present them with the second line while increasing your expectation (e.g., “my turn”). Eventually you will be able to present them with the third/final line as they are able to generate a simple sentence (e.g., “It’s my turn”)!
