Each question is labeled on each sheet as either "within","beyond", or "about the text" to provide students support for answering the question and locating information. If you teach the LLI Blue System lessons, these comprehension reinforcement sheets can serve many purposes:

-Linking the reading with written response to text
-Using these questions as discussion starters or "turn and talks"
-Providing independent reinforcement for comprehension of text while giving you time to work with individual students for conducting reading records or sampling of oral reading
-Used as homework and accountability for reading take-home books
-Used for informal assessment of comprehension

This resources was great! I loved having written comprehension question that went with the text, and it saved me time not having to create them myself.

I am an assistant in a classroom with behavioral disabilities and learning disabilities. I have had a hard time finding an assignment related to LLI that is "suitable" for their ages. These packets were an awesome resource to keep them engaged, check their understanding of what they read, and hopefully can prepare them for some of the reading comprehension areas that they will encounter with state testing.
