Description

With this lab activity, students will first use the Power Point to start their 'lab write-up'. When the written portion of their lab is complete, each student will be given the materials needed and can construct the button spinner individually. After construction and use, the students will answer the questions in the hand-out and what is left in the power point.

This lab helps students to better understand the concepts of kinetic and potential energy that can exist within a device.

The Power Point and write-up encourages students to better understand the scientific method and prepare for future grade levels in which writing up a lab is expected.

Required materials: Button and Thread
