Description
This activity is a lab that I use to explore and reinforce scientific method and analytical writing techniques. It utilizes news articles and expands from the knowledge they gain by reading and analyzing the news article to study a similar problem in the lab. This activity is easily modified for any age group (instructions and advice on how to modify are included). It is perfect for middle school, high school, and homeschool age students. The simplicity of the lab can also make it appropriate for some elementary age students as well. Included in this packet are all the lab instructions, information on how to locate the necessary reference articles as well as printables and handouts for lab analysis.
