In this experiment students will investigate friction. Students will learn how surface area, texture and weight influence friction. This lab is 3 pages, 4 data tables, 8 conclusion questions, answer key provided, and a completed data table page for absent students. Materials required for this lab can be found in any science classroom: spring scale, rectangular wooden block, sandpaper, calculator, and metric rulers.
