Lab Rats-Lab Safety Poster
Share

Description

Want a fun way to address Lab Safety. Makes a fun poster to hang in any science classroom or lab. It can be used as an activity as well. Have kids identify the naughty things that the lab rats are doing. They will be shocked at how many spoken and unspoken rules the rats got caught breaking.

Put it up on the overhead and have the class share their favorite naughty things. or just circle the naughty things if you are wanting to spend less time. This can be easily modified and used in a variety of ways.

Students could make lists as they look at the picture (on the overhead or printed out on the desks) if you want to spend more time. Even better, make it a competition to see what student or group can find the most.

The original file is 18x24 but prints well at 24x36

I was looking for a different resource to have students identify lab safety violations. This was very witty. It was new to both the class and me. I really liked this for a fun assessment.
