Lab Safety Contract
Share

Description

Every science class needs a moment where we all agree on a few rules: no drinking mystery liquids, no sword fights with meter sticks, and no lighting anything on fire “just to see what happens.” That’s where this Lab Safety Contract comes in.

This printable and editable form is designed for grades 4 - 12 and serves as a simple, effective way to get students and parents on the same page (literally). Students read through the safety rules, discuss them at home, then sign and return the form before they’re allowed anywhere near any lab stations.

What’s Included:

  • Lab Safety Rules – Clear, classroom-tested, and written in language middle schoolers actually understand
  • Student & Parent Signature Section – With space for names, dates, and accountability
  • Folder Instructions – A friendly reminder to keep the rules in the science folder (not crumpled at the bottom of their backpack)
  • Editable Word Format – Customize it for your class or use it as-is
  • One Page, One Job – Keep it simple. One sheet does it all.
