My students love these. We start the year with just the first sound and as the year goes they attempt to write the word. We use whole group, small group and I also put into the writing center eventually.
We used this for center time and they loved choosing their stickers and phonetically labeling. I didn't care how they spelled the words- I just wanted them to practice writing the sounds they heard. They absolutely LOVED it!
My students loved using this activity as the beginning stages of labeling.

What a fun way to encourage writing in my kindergarten class.
Who doesn't love stickers?! This is always a huge hit in my classroom for literacy centers. Really gets kids excited to work on their inventive spelling.
