Ideas for Use
This worksheet packet is an ideal follow up to the Introduction to the Large Bead Frame lesson, which can take place as soon as the child has mastered multiplying on the Small Bead Frame.
Large Bead Frame is usually used for only multiplication and depending on the Montessori math album, this work precedes working on the Checkerboard or immediately follows.
Personally, I prefer to introduce the Large Bead Frame AFTER completing work with the Checkerboard because the manipulation of the material on the Bead Frame is more difficult to track than the Bead Bars on the Checkerboard.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dana says, “I had students use large bead frame paper to answer the questions in this introduction to the large bead frame. The questions were varied and provided different ways for my students to practice using the large bead frame and understanding how to form and read numbers on the bead frame. It also provided some practice in expanded form of numbers up to the millions. This was a great way to introduce the large bead frame to some of my 2nd and 3rd year students. ”
