The Montessori Large Number Cards aim to help children comprehend and read numbers from 1 to 9,999 by breaking them into units, tens, hundreds, and thousands. This approach fosters an understanding of the decimal system and place value.
This material is used for the Montessori Bank Game and Collective Exercises, and it includes a complete set of large number cards.
The complete set is color-coded according to the Montessori math hierarchy:
- 1 to 9 units (green)
- 1 ten to 9 tens (blue)
- 1 hundred to 9 hundred (red)
- 1 thousand to 9 thousand (green)
The unit card is approx. 2" x 2½", and the thousand card is approx. 2" x 7¾".
