Description

In my life skills classroom, my students practice doing the laundry several times a week. For my students who are capable of sorting laundry into darks, colors and whites, we work on this skill regularly. We use real laundry to practice sorting a lot, but I thought having my students do a task box activity that also required sorting pictures of laundry would help to make this skill even stronger for them.

Just print out the items on cardstock, laminate and cut things out for your students to use. There are two options for you to use this activity in your classroom. My students use the smaller darks, colors, and whites labels and I have them velcroed onto small baskets to put the laundry in. I made the larger labels that students could use to actually velco the items onto. You decide what is best for your students. You can also make this task easier by limiting the amount of laundry you give your students. You could also only sort two types of laundry instead of all three. Do what is best for your students.
