Description
Teach your students the techniques to determine tricky limits.
Two techniques that are often found on the AP Exam are using the conjugate to rationalize a numerator and simplifying complex fractions. Students will learn and practice both “tricks” in the fifth lesson of my limit series. “Relearning” how to simplify a complex fraction is also important knowledge for college entrance exams.
This student friendly program breaks up Calculus into small bites that students can easily digest. Through reading and guided practice, students will gain the knowledge to complete the activity sheet at the end of the lesson. Comic figures emphasize points about limits throughout the lesson to keep students interested and motivated.
Both print and digital editions are available. Use them in your class and/or with online learning. All students benefit!
Topics covered in this lesson are:
· Rationalizing a numerator to find a limit.
· Simplifying complex fractions to determine limits.
· Activity sheet to practice these techniques of determining limits analytically.
