Description

This is a lesson about Gardner's Multiple Intelligences and the eight different learning styles. The lesson includes information about each of the learning styles. Students are then assigned a project in which they will create a Thinking Cap and a poem, rap, or song to represent their learning style. The project guidelines, examples, and rubric are included.

(I have students take a Multiple Intelligence Survey prior to lesson. MI survey is not included, but I provide information about where I get it from. You can also find several different options online.)

I use this lesson and project during our Needs Unit for Gifted and Talented.

Lesson on MI & project guidelines take 1-2 class periods. Then I conference with students about individual projects over the course of a month. I give students a month- 6 weeks to complete projects at home. It takes 1-2 class periods to present thinking caps and poem, rap, or song. PowerPoint has been converted to a PDF and can't be edited.
