This engaging Early Childhood math center helps students practice counting, number recognition, and one-to-one correspondence using numbers 1–20.

Students select a number card and “make lemonade” by counting and adding the correct number of ingredients to the pitcher. The activity is designed to grow with your learners through built-in differentiation and extensions.

Teen Number Challenge (11–20)

Students select a teen number card and build that total using any combination of lemons and ice cubes. This encourages flexible thinking, number composition, and early addition skills.

Example: 14 can be made with 10 lemons and 4 ice cubes — or any combination that equals 14.

Roll & Count Extension

Students roll a die and add that many ingredients to their pitcher. This extension supports repeated counting, number fluency, and beginning addition concepts.
