Description
This is a seasonal math addition activity for St. Patrick's Day. This activity contains 2 separate activities.
The first activity allows for the random creation of addition problems that will have answers that range between 2 and 12. Students will drag the correct answer to the addition problem into the Leprechaun’s pot of gold. The problems are generated by two flash dice that speak and are part of the SMART Notebook Gallery.
The second activity is 10 slides long and allows the students to "dig" to find the Leprechaun’s hidden gold. Additions problems are set up and the student(s) “dig” out the correct answer. When the correct answer is "dug out” the students will click on the answer. If the answer is correct it will play a clip of an Irish Reel.
The directions for these activities are included on the slides.
The activity was created using SMART Notebook. SMART Notebook files may not work with all interactive boards. Check to see if your interactive board software has a file import feature and accepts SMART Notebook files. ActivInspire software when importing SMART Notebook files will lose some animations or special SBN animations.
