This resource gives students a visual representation of 14 different covalent compounds. Print the flashcards and use them in station activities or create a matching game. Make this activity hands-on by having students represent the valence electrons with beads. Then ask them to assign electrons to the card which does not have electrons. Introduce vocab terms such as lone pairs and bonding pairs.

There are four flashcards for each compound, (56 flashcards in the set).

1. The name of the compound
2. Lewis dot diagram template, (without valence electrons shown)
3. Lewis dot diagram with valence electrons included.
4. A second Lewis dot diagram with valence electrons included.

There are seven colour-coordinated sets that are perfect for organizing your classroom into groups. (392 cards in total).
