When I went to teach my students about The Liberty Bell, I was disappointed to find that many of the resources available, were not appropriate for young students. The language was hard to understand, there were few pictures, it provided too much information. Frustrated, I set out to create a short presentation that would be easy for my students to understand and would provide the information they needed.
How to Utilize:

- Print out and create a class book

I used it when talking about American symbols. It helped me with having students more engage in learning.
Used during American Symbols unit. We learned about this symbol and then completed an informational writing page on the symbol. At the end of the unit, all the symbol pages came together to create a book.
This was perfect to teach about the liberty bell to my first graders.
We loved using this when rotating to learn about US symbols. Kid friendly and easy to understand.
