This Newbery Medal Books PowerPoint Game may be just what you are looking for!
This PowerPoint presentation is a guessing game, set up like a quiz show, with 20 questions about Newbery Award winning books. Some are gold medal winners; others are silver medal honors. Students read a brief description of a book and then have to guess which book it is. It can be played on the SMART Board, or just projected from the computer.
Modification: For special education students, the teacher could create flash cards from the PDF handouts, before the "guessing" begins. You can paperclip them to back of the book (if you have these titles, or highlight the correct answer on the card). Students would then have the "answers" right at hand.
I have two versions of this quiz show: Version “A” has slightly easier books that may be familiar to students in Grades 3, 4, 5. Version “B” has slightly more challenging books that may be familiar to students in Grades 4, 5, 6, 7.
