"Some of my students were really struggling with finding call numbers on the spines. This activity was great for supporting that. I put the students into groups, and they all helped find the different things. Thanks!"

Description

Trying to teach your students how to search for a book in your online library catalog and then find the book on the shelf? Then use this Scavenger Hunt template! This template includes two versions. One version is set up and ready to use. The other template is in PPT format for you to completely customize. For this lesson, I have my students use our online library catalog to search for the examples. On the graphic organizer, they need to write down the title and author of the book, determine how many copies we have, if the copies are available, and the call number. Once they have all of that information, they need to search for the book on the shelves. I have a sheet a stickers taped to the bookshelf near where the book should be. The students take a sticker and place it on their chart.
