Description

The Library Pages

This product is based on the book, The Library Pages by Carlene Morton, and is designed to teach and/or remind your students of the importance of taking good care of their books whether they are personal, school, or library books. It also includes activities to teach students to listen for facts from texts and oral presentations and then use those facts in a project. Additionally, there are optional opportunities for students to analyze various, paired texts on the same topic.

Created as a unit, students will listen to the featured title and respond to the story by creating a mini book (flap book) based on book care rules presented in the story. They will also participate in a mini research project on libraries and record their learning on a foldable. All of the activities are a combination of individual and whole group, and include ideas for those students who need additional challenges.

I hope this unit is a great match for you and your students!
