This is designed to be used with Engage New York Learning and Listening Stand Domain 8 lesson 3 and pair with my word journal aligned with CCSS RI 2.4. This is a student readable version of the story. I suggest still using the pictures proved by Engage New York to complement the story, this provides a story version that can be used for close reading and an exit ticket with the comprehension questions provided at the end of the story.
