I use this PowerPoint to introduce the basic properties of light. It follows the Prentice Hall textbook that we use but the PowerPoint could be used as a stand alone tool. The students fill out the 'Light' notes paper as I go and I also ask for volunteers to demonstrate some of the properties of light. Take a look at the 'Light' notes handout also. This activity supports Grade Seven California State Science Standard 6 - Physical principles underlie biological structures and functions.
