This PowerPoint includes a definition of a Limerick poem. There are different examples of different Limerick poems in the PowerPoint. In the lesson the students are able to see the breakdown of the poem based on the rhyming pattern. The class is asked to identify if the poem being presented is a Limerick why or why not based on the definition and the examples covered. At the end of the PowerPoint there is a task for the class. There are also additional notes underneath the PowerPoint for the teacher to follow if they wish. The notes are for guiding the teacher while the PowerPoint slides are for the students to obtain a better understanding of the poem.
