Description
Looking for a fun, relevant way to get students thinking algebraically after the summer break! Back to school is another chance to show students how they are often thinking mathematically and logically in their every day lives. This is a great opportunity to encourage students to recognise how often they are using logical thinking, or have the chance too.
As task cards, they work well as a summary lesson or a review. These are all along the same theme so could work well early on in an Algebra unit. You can also encourage students to discuss their holidays.
When downloaded you will get
- Instructions for use
- Slides to use as a brief review of how to write equations from worded problems
- 20 task cards (with optional addition questions on the reverse side)
- Student recording sheet
- Answer key
