Description

In this card sort, students match each linear equation with its equivalent forms.

Through this activity, they'll practice converting linear functions between slope-intercept form, point-slope form, standard form, and two points. Every equation has three matches, so they'll end up with 8 groups of 4 equivalent equations. A full answer key is included!

This works very easily as an individual or group activity, with or without cutting!

Includes 3 pages

Page 1 - 32 ready-to-go linear equations (8 slope-intercept, 8 point-slope, 8 standard form, 8 coordinate pairs)

Page 2 - Answer key

Page 3 - Response sheets (optional sheets for recording answers!)

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Create equations in two or more variables to represent relationships between quantities; graph equations on coordinate axes with labels and scales.
Rearrange formulas to highlight a quantity of interest, using the same reasoning as in solving equations. For example, rearrange Ohm’s law 𝘝 = 𝘭𝘙 to highlight resistance 𝘙.
Graph functions expressed symbolically and show key features of the graph, by hand in simple cases and using technology for more complicated cases.
