Linear, Exponential or Quadratic Function Sort Activity
Share

Description

This activity is a sorting activity that has students cutting out and sorting quadratic equations, exponential functions, and linear equations into the appropriate category. This can be used for early finishers, tutoring, around the world, enrichment, reinforcement, or math centers. I've also used it as a class activity by having each student in class take one square and put it in the appropriate box. Then we check each answer as a class.

My support students used this with Desmos. We looked at determining the types of graphs based on the scatterplots. They would have benefitted from me telling me there should be the same number in each type.
