About the store

Experience

The first nine years of my career history were spent in the classroom teaching 6-12 grade sciences. Since then, I have been an education consultant, a high school science instructional coach, opened my own education company (AKA Education), and currently work as an instructional designer.

Teaching style

I am a fan of the gradual release model. In this model, students are provided small doses of instruction at a time and then given opportunities to practice/apply this information before being formally evaluated on it. This allows the instructor ample opportunities to be informed of misunderstandings and provide remediation as needed.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Magna cum laude.

My own education history

B.A. in biology and chemistry with a Masters in Education.

Additional biographical information
