Who loves math? Who loves coloring? Who loves Space Turtles vs Earth Cows?!
This is a great activity that gets your students practicing all things linear! This is also a great opportunity for students to collaborate with their peers and give you an opportunity to observe what your kiddos know or work a teacher table.
There are 30 questions included on this activity - for each section students will have to think about and solve various linear concepts. The answer that does not match with anything in each section is used to color in the coloring sheet.
My students had a great time doing this activity (the colors of the cows REALLY got to them LOL), and I hope your students enjoy it as well! To add to the fun/atmosphere, I made a funny google slide with floating cows and spaceships and added fun, upbeat music (not included, just giving you a fun idea :)).
This activity covers:
- Identifying zeros and y-intercepts from graphs
- Writing equation slope-intercept form from graphs
- Writing equations in slope-intercept form from tables
- Writing equations in slope-intercept form from ordered pairs
- Writing equations in slope-intercept form from a word problem, and using the equation to evaluate
- Identifying linear transformations
- Writing equations in point-slope form
- Special cases
Use this activity to:
- Review
- An opportunity for students to collaborate with their peers
- As a break from the usual classroom routine
- Team-building activity
- The options are endless!
This activity is ready to print and implement in the classroom. For personal use only. If sharing with a team, multiple licenses must be purchased.
