Description
After learning to identify slope and y-intercept from a table, graph, and equation, students will use these new skills, as well as their knowledge of function notation to create linear functions, their table of values, and graphs.
Students will then choose one function and write a story or situation that can be modeled by the function.
Students can decorate their graphs for added aesthetics.
This performance task is great for bulletin boards, as well as an alternative assessment.
The rubric is specific to this project, which is specific to the NGLS for Algebra 1. The Rubric also includes a section for peer feedback and student goal setting.
My students really enjoyed this and I hope your's do, too!
