Description

*Update* I have now solved the difficulties with the compatibility between Excel 2007 and Excel 2013. I apologise for any problems experienced.

This Excel workbook uses random generation to allow you to produce as many new examples as your class requires. Macro buttons allow you to choose the order in which to reveal the answers and give greater flexibility to your teaching. The interactive material works best with mini whiteboards/show me boards to encourage whole class involvement.

This workbook contains additional worksheets to the free version. Additional worksheets include decreasing sequences and discovering sequences from given terms.
Additionally at the end of the workbook you will find printable worksheets with answer keys. Press F9 to produce new worksheets. Please print the answer key at the same time as the worksheet due to the random generator.

Sheet 1 - Overview and advice on use.
Sheet 2 – Work out the rule and the next two terms of the sequence.
Sheet 3/4 – Use the nth term to create the first 10 terms of a sequence. Increasing and decreasing sequences are on separate tabs.
Sheet 5/6 – Work out the nth term of a sequence and find the 10th and 50th terms. Separate tabs for increasing and decreasing.
Sheet 7/8 – Students work out the 10th term of a sequence when given the 4th and 7th terms. Sheet 8 allows you to choose which terms to reveal first.
Sheet 9 – A worded version of sheets 7 and 8 to extend even the most able students.
Sheet 10-12 – Randomly Generated Printable worksheets.

This resource requires the use of macros. The option to enable macros will appear when you click on a macro button.
