After your student finish a class novel, use this list of THIRTY Creative Writing topics that can serve as discussion, short answer, journal prompts, book report project topics, and more! For use with ANY BOOK!

This product includes:

✏️ 1-Page Teacher Instructions and State Standards listed

✏️ 2- Pages of thirty writing questions in a list format.

✏️ 4- Page of 30 colorful Task Cards with one question per card.

Assign students a question (or two!) from the list, or add some fun by allowing them to randomly select a question task card! These questions can be used throughout the year, over and over again!

Question samples:

  • What 3 qualities of the main character are good traits that you would like to develop in yourself? How does the main character demonstrate each quality?
  • How is the title of this work significant? What does the title mean? When (what page) in the book did you realize this?
  • Explain if this book brought closure to all characters and situations or if you felt "left hanging" at the end. How did it bring closure? Or what do you feel still needs to be resolved?
