This is a 2 day bundled lesson. Day 1 focuses on finding integers only (no decimals or fractions) on a number line to introduce students to negatives on a number line. This day has a teach piece followed by 10 questions for independent practice. Day 2 brings in negative decimals and fractions to the number line. There is a teach piece and then 10 test type questions. This lesson is modeled after:

• CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.NS.C.6.C- Find and position integers and other rational numbers on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram; find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
• 6.2(C) locate, compare, and order integers and rational numbers using a number line
