I really enjoy this lesson.
The objective is to have the students understand that the definitions they have been studying for years have a logical form that can be identified. Specifically, the students need to be able to identify the form of a conditional statement, the form of its converse, any counterexamples the converse may have and what constitutes a definition.
I use 3x5 index cards as well as the Conditionals - Converse - Counterexamples Excel Spreadsheet included.
