Description

This interactive Google Slides lesson introduces students to the standard algorithm for solving long division problems. It uses the mnemonic "Does McDonalds Sell Cheeseburgers" to help students remember the steps for long division and walks them through several examples with 2, 3, and 4 digit dividends and 1 digit divisors. It also includes remainders.

The lesson includes:

  • a 14 minute video lesson (YouTube and Loom viewing options included)
  • 8 practice problems - fill in missing numbers by typing into text boxes to solve long division problems and demonstrate understanding of this strategy
  • teacher answer keys

Assign this ready-to-go interactive lesson through Google Classroom (be sure to make a copy for each student so they can edit) and enjoy all the time you just saved!
