Description

Now updated to include the same task cards as a Google Form (self-checking, digital task cards)!

Need a fun Fall enrichment activity that is engaging and challenging for your students? Word problem practice is fun and easy with these task cards! I used these with my higher-level 4th grade math class and they loved it as a way to practice long division with and without remainders!

Use the task cards as a math center or whole class activity such as Scoot or Roam the Room. Students can check their answers after completing the answer sheet by scanning the QR code that is included on the answer sheet or you can have students use a printed answer key. Choose the option that works best for you and your students!

Contents:

8 Long Division Multi-step Word Problem Task Cards

4 Long Division Problem Task Cards with a fun Fall joke

Blank Answer sheet for students

Ideas for how to use these task cards:

•Roam the Room- cut out the cards and display them around the room for students to find and solve. My students love this version because it gets them moving!

•Scoot- put one card on each student’s desk. Then students “scoot” to the next desk to solve another problem when the teacher gives a signal.

•Early Finishers/Math Center- cards can be displayed around the room like in Roam the Room or in a folder/envelope or you could even make a bulletin board with the cards posted

•Partner work- students could solve a set amount of problems collaboratively.

•For small group instruction- specific cards could be printed or displayed with a projector for students to solve on whiteboards or in math journals

•Around the World problem cards

• Whole class or small group Math Jeopardy questions
