In the first lesson, students are introduced to 22 different instruments. These slides are perfect to take some time with your students to look at the instruments and describe them. The descriptions could include colors, size, characteristics, etc.
In the second lesson, students are encouraged to classify the instruments into three different categories: percussion instruments, string instruments or wind instruments.
The third lesson consists of 12 slides of multiple-choice questions where students are asked to identify the types of instruments they see. Students love quick quizzes! If you print them out, they can be used as task cards.
The vocabulary included in this packet is the following: acordeón, armónica, arpa, bandoneón, banjo, batería, cajón, castañuelas, charango, congas, flauta, gaita, guitarra, maracas, piano, quena, saxofón, siku, tambor, trompeta, violín, xilófono.
In addition, a poster with all 20 vocabulary words is included in this packet. Use this handy poster for a convenient reference for your students.
