Description

Teachers ALWAYS need data--but who has time for giving and grading tons of math assessments? Formative math assessment should be a fast AND essential part of every teacher's math instruction. These math exit tickets are perfect to help you collect and track math data!

Formative assessment helps you know where your students excel, where they struggle, and help guide your instruction. Most textbooks and programs don't provide enough easy-to-use options. These are quick and easy to administer AND quick and easy to score--and that's what teachers need.

This bundle of 380 formative assessments can help you do just that!

Each of these SIX assessment sets is available individually (see links below) but are bundled together here for even more savings. Topics covered include:

  • Addition and Subtraction (70 assessments)
  • Multiplication and Division (60 assessments)
  • Area and Perimeter (28 assessments)
  • Fraction Concepts (78 assessments)
  • Measurement and Data Concepts (86 assessments)
  • Place Value (58 assessments)

The tasks come in a variety of levels of sophistication—from basic concepts to more complicated ones. Some have only one correct answer and others have multiple solutions.

Don’t use all of them—use the ones that match YOUR curriculum and the needs of YOUR students. Are they aligned to the CCSS and other rigorous standards? You bet…but there are even more assessments than are needed for most sets of standards.

They range in complexity so you can use them in a variety of grades and settings. Even better? There are two "forms" of each one so you can assess, reteach, and reassess. I hope you find them useful—and that they will help you better understand where your students are with their learning and help you make good instructional decisions.

With the accountability needed with RtI, we need to be able to track which students are getting more assistance. Use the included recording sheets to show which students show solid understanding and are ready to move on, which need some review or coaching, and which are in need of true reteaching.

By using regular formative assessments, you are working toward having all students be successful on their summative assessments!

Please check out the preview to see exactly what you get--I think you'll see just how useful these are! (and make sure you check out what other teachers have said as well!)

I hope you find these helpful!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
