Description

These 35 MAB Block digital task cards enable students to practice working with numbers 3000-6000 to develop understanding of place value and specifically that 4-digit numbers are comprised of thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.

Students will practice counting, reading and decomposing (partitioning) numbers between 3000 and 6000. They will compare two 4-digit numbers to see which is greater, smaller or equal and they will practice placing 4-digit numerals on a number line.

These Digital Task Cards are accessed via the BOOM Learning™ platform and can be assigned to students in your class through Google Classroom™ and Seesaw™.

They work on a laptop, desktop, Chromebook, tablet, or any other mobile device that can access the internet. They can also be used on your Smart Board. The best part is that they are self-correcting and allow you to track student progress. Plus, they’re no prep which means no printing, laminating, or storage.

This product includes:

  • A link to access 35 Digital Task Cards on Place Value (numbers 3000-6000) on the BOOM Learning™ website (1 card per slide)

These task cards feature 3 different types of questions:

  • Type 1 (19 cards) - Students count how many thousands, hundreds, tens and ones are in the picture and drag the correct digits from the number line to the thousands, hundreds, tens and ones columns.

  • Type 2 (8 cards) - Students look at two pictures and count how many thousands, hundreds, tens and ones they can see in each picture. They select the correct 4-digit number and drag below each picture. Finally, they evaluate the relationship between the two numbers and represent this with either a >, < or = symbol.

  • Type 3 (8 cards) – Students look at the picture and count how many thousands, hundreds, tens and ones they can see. They select the matching numeral and drag this to the correct place on the number line.

  • Brain Break (1 card) - There is one brain break card where students can do ‘squat jumps’ (15 repetitions) if they wish.

These cards are aligned to ACARA (Australian Curriculum) ACMNA052/53, Virginia (US) VA SOL 3.1 and Texas (US) TEKS 3.2
