What others say
"I loved using this for my class to incorporate everything we learned for the chapter. Sometimes it got confusing if they messed some up, but I could figure out their error easily. Some cards were the exact same, so on the answer key I put them on it multiple times."

Description
A CARD MATCH ACTIVITY
OBJECTIVE
- Match Radical functions with the correct graph, transformation, domain and range
INCLUDED
16 Radical Functions (square roots and cube roots)
16 Transformations Cards
16 Domain/Range cards
16 Radical Functions Graphs
DIRECTIONS
- Have students work in pairs or groups of 3 to elicit discourse and make it fun.
- Print a set of all the cards for each small group and have the students cut them out.
OR
You can print them out on different colored card stock paper, laminate them, then cut them so you can use them for a long time.

CCSSHSF-IF.A.1
Understand that a function from one set (called the domain) to another set (called the range) assigns to each element of the domain exactly one element of the range. If 𝘧 is a function and 𝘹 is an element of its domain, then 𝘧(𝘹) denotes the output of 𝘧 corresponding to the input 𝘹. The graph of 𝘧 is the graph of the equation 𝘺 = 𝘧(𝘹).
CCSSHSF-IF.C.7b
Graph square root, cube root, and piecewise-defined functions, including step functions and absolute value functions.
