Already have a MATcH CARDS Set? Do more with your class with this Comparing Numbers Set! There are multiple mats that go up to the millions place. These activity mats are great for centers, games, individual and group work! Mix and match the different sets for activities, displays, reference materials, or games all year long!
This is the Comparing Numbers Set!
It includes:
Counting Cards
Use the counting cards teach counting and cardinality. For beginners, you can use the cards to count up to ten. For enrichment, you can combine cards and have students count up to larger numbers.
Play a game with the numbers cards and Comparing Numbers Mats. Have your students paste the cards together as a reference to go back to when they’re stuck. Have them create examples for >,<, and = number sentences.
Comparing Numbers MATcH CARDS
Compare two cards by using the >,<, and = cards. Your students can use the symbol cards or the word cards to compare. The symbol cards can be used with picture cards or number cards (numerals or word form). Check out the Starter Set with numbers from 1-100, or any other Themed MATcH CARD sets!
Comparing Numbers MATcH CARDS (Visual Cards)
Same concepts as the first page, but more visual. These cards will help students who have a hard time grasping the concept of comparing numbers.
Compare These! (2 per sheet)
Have your students compare two cards. Use the math vocabulary “greater than”, “less than”, and “equal to” to describe the relationship between two numbers. They can write in the symbols after putting down two number cards, or you can write in the symbol and have them put the two number cards in the right boxes.

This mat uses the Comparing Numbers MATcH CARDS with the number cards. It is designed to look like a scale so students can compare the “weights” of the numbers.
Use these mats for centers, individual work, group work, games, or as bulletin board displays!

The MATcH CARDS sets can be used in several ways:
➙ Learning Activity: Combine image cards with number and/or vocabulary cards.
➙ Matching Game: Have your students match corresponding cards or flip over the cards and play a matching or memory game.
➙ Reference Activity: Glue corresponding cards together on a page for future reference.
*I used an empty business card book to hold their cards so they can be switched out for newer sets. (check out the pictures above!)*
➙ Task Card Activities: Use the task cards with manipulatives for students who are tactile learners. Task Cards can be used for individual students, small classes, or in centers. Task cards from different sets can be combined to use with larger classes.
➙ Centers / Stations: The task cards and worksheets can be used in centers or in stations.
➙ Interactive Notebooks: Shrink the activity mats by printing two to a page and these resources will be small enough to fit inside a notebook or binder!
➙ Extensions: Teach your students about the Colors, Animals, Body Parts, Holidays, and much more with different Themed Sets!
