Great value

I used this resource after our end of year testing. I had become ill, and my substitute was able to easily get students started. They stayed engaged with the project, and then we finished it over the course of the next few days. I feel that they learned a lot about the symbols, and the fan style was a fun way to look at them. Many students decided to display this project in our hallway.

I used this activity with my class before Memorial Day. The only issue I had is that the pictures at the top don't print very clearly. Make sure to model the poppy flower with students because some drug references come up if it is searched.

This was very time-consuming, but I knew that before I bought it. It's awesome when it's finished. I teach First grade, so it was definitely hard to produce, but the kids were so proud of their products when they were finished. It's definitely worth it. Just take it slow, like one or two symbols a week, until finished. Thanks for a great product!

I loved using this in my 7th grade classroom. My kiddos loved doing the research, and I was able to partner them and rotate through the different symbols in a way that allowed my students to take ownership of their own learning. Highly recommend!
