Glyphs are a fun means of collecting data and combining math with craftivity. This Mitten Glyph is especially great for young children and will create a fabulous, winter bulletin board display. Included in this product are a printable mitten, the glyph legend, a data collection sheet, and a writing prompt. In creating this glyph, your students will practice following directions and can demonstrate their learning by interpreting their glyphs to others. Glyphs also prompt them to interpret data from others. This activity is an awesome extension for THE MITTEN.

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
- This mitten glyph can be conducted as a whole group activity. The teacher can direct the activity by giving verbal instructions.
- Create a mitten center. Place copies of the elements at the center. Post the legend to direct the students.
- Display the finished mittens on a bulletin board.
- As a group or as individuals, interpret the data the glyphs reflect.
- Include this activity in your sub folder.
