By the end of 7th grade students should be well versed in MLA8 Format citations to strengthen their writing and use text evidence to support literary analysis essays, support a statement of theme, etc. It can be difficult for students to remember the rules of citation format for quotes with periods, question marks, exclamation points, and with dialogue embedded. Common mistakes also include confusion about the citation information that goes in the parenthesis following the quote. Included in this file are notes (fill in version available also for students to copy off of projector), practice pages, and a quiz with an answer key attached to follow up. All parts of the file are editable to change to find your students' needs!
