They will dig into the text and connect with symbol/motif trackers, active reading questions, and videos linked right in with QR codes. Through the unit, the students will be thinking critically and making text-to-text, text-to-self, and text-to-world connections.

Struggling readers will benefit from figurative language identification, summary materials, short quizzes, readers' theater excerpts, and guided close reading exercises.
