Description

Magic Math Overview & Purpose
The Magic Math Program’s purpose is to help students review specific standards in a short amount of time as well as providing teachers with a weekly assessment that can be used for a grade or progress monitoring.
Design
The Magic Math Program contains 4 weeks of review for Standard NBT.2.6. Each day, Monday through Thursday, students take a set amount of time (2 ½ minutes is recommended) to complete the front of a ½ sheet and then take the back page home for homework. On Friday, students take a quiz on the skill reviewed that week. This quiz can be used as a grade or for progress monitoring.
Implementation
The Magic Math Program can be implemented at anytime throughout the year based on student need. It can be followed in the order presented or used at the teachers discretion. Each page (except for the quiz) has a bolded day for suggested use. If the teacher uses on a day other than the suggested day, simply have students circle that day.
Printing & Page Numbers
The Magic Minute Fluency Program is formatted to print double-sided so that all pages match up correctly to their corresponding day. Page numbers are on the bottom right.
