"This is an amazing activity to have on hand when the internet goes out! The kids love it and it makes them think!"

"I used this as an "early finisher" for a group of students who always complete their work 10 minutes before everyone else. I was able to call it coding, so they had automatic buy-in. I will be using again next year!"

Description

This coding unplugged activity is one of many that I am creating to use in my STEM classroom! We do these coding challenges about once a week. They are great for teaching sequencing and logical reasoning to students. There are no right or wrong answers, and many different solutions will work! You could also rotate these challenges through a Maker Space or science center. I store everything in a dollar store gift bag or plastic tub for each individual coding unplugged challenge.

This challenge is a great one for following directions! Students have to follow directions to make their own Pac Man Ghost.

This pack contains just about everything you need to do this challenge! You will need the following items:

Materials: (per classroom)

- Crayons or markers

- Coding sheets

- Final Copy Sheet

There is one challenge for students to complete first so they learn how to do the coding sequence included in this pack as well as a blank final copy grid.

Great for subplans when the sub doesn't feel confident having the students use computers.
