Makerspace STEM Challenge Cards

A Makerspace is a places where people and ideas come together to design, explore, build, and create! A Maker Space incorporates STEM and STEAM learning activities and design challenges to allow kids to learn through creating. If you're looking to challenge your students to be innovative thinkers, a Makerspace is for you!

These colorful Makerspace Challenge Cards provide challenges for your students to complete. Each card lists a challenge and provides guided questions to give students ideas to explore or experiment with further.

The cards are based on common Maker space materials, but are still useful even if you don't have all of the materials in your Makerspace.

This set includes:
• 44 STEM Challenge Cards (Available 4 per page and full size)
• 4 Editable Cards to Add Your Own Challenges!

There are some challenges using tech materials like Makey Makey, Sphero, and Little Bits Circuits, but many of the other challenges use everyday items like duct tape, cardboard, marbles, building bricks, coding websites, and general design challenges based on STEM concepts. If you are just starting out with a Makerspace and looking for ideas of things to purchase, these cards will provide great inspiration for that as well. If you already have many common Makerspace materials and are looking for new ways to challenge your kids, these cards are a great source of inspiration and motivation with guided questions!

These cards can be used independently or with groups of kids, in a collaborative learning environment.
