Engage middle and high school English Language Arts students in making inferences with scaffolded lessons and activities that build confidence in reading comprehension and interpretive thinking.

These activities will make teaching inferencing easy - and fun! Learning to make inferences is one of the key foundational skills for literary analysis. That's why it's important to help students become confident with their ability to infer, and this resource will help you tackle teaching inferences in a way that brings results.

The scaffolded mini-lessons & activities will allow students to practice and reinforce their understanding of inferencing. Through independent and collaborative work, they will gain the skills needed to make inferences in the texts they read.

Excellent resource! The mentor texts used within the slides are really effective in getting the students to understand inferencing. They enjoyed the station work within the unit and were all very engaged. Inferencing is so hard but the students really got the hang of it. Highly recommend this resource.
