Description

Teaching your students to make inferences in reading can be a difficult task. I use this PowerPoint lesson to introduce the skill to my 3rd and 4th graders. It includes:

*What it means to "make inferences"
*When readers should make inferences
*Two examples for the students to practice making inferences about:
--#1: the characters' feelings about each other
--#2: the reason a character acts a certain way

My students enjoyed using this resource. It was simple enough for them to understand but challenging enough to maintain interest. Thank you!
