Description

Inferencing is an important skill for students to practice. This bundle has 3 different sets of 24 task cards for a total of 72 task cards. These task cards are a fun way for students to practice their skills while reading and solving riddles. Students read the clues to determine what place, job or item that is being described. There are full color and less color options of the task cards. Optional sets with self checking QR codes are also included. There are answer cards that can be used to differentiate the activity where students are either given the answer cards or not depending on their needs. There is also a writing extension activity using the answer cards which allows you to have students write their own clues. Partner game boards are also included. Task Card Uses

✯Roam the Room: where students are able to move around the room while practicing concepts. Students record the answers to the corresponding problem on their answer sheet.

✯Scoot- use this as a whole class Scoot activity where one card is placed on each child’s desk and students move through the room to answer the questions

✯Daily practice by displaying one page of task cards on a SMART Board for students to solve

✯Learning center/station

✯Partner game

✯Small group instruction

✯Early finisher activity

A great resource to use for small group instruction, as it provided multiple opportunities for students to practice inference skills without having to read large amounts of text. My students especially like me to use them as "games" where they earn points for correct answers.
